HM Queen Elizabeth II

We are deeply saddened by the news of the death of Queen Elizabeth II. On Monday 19th September, in line with the guidance from the government and as a mark of respect the school will be closed. School will reopen on Tuesday 20th September.

Queen's Platimun Jubilee Celebration Friday 27th May 2022

On Friday 27th May we will be celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee at school. Children are invited to wear red, white and blue clothes instead of their uniform on this day. The children will learn about this historic event and will take part in a range of activities to celebrate in their classrooms.

Fantastic Fred

KS1 and KS2 thoroughly enjoyed the production Fantastic Fred on Thursday 5th May 2022. Through humour and drama, the team delivered an important message about good mental health. The Fantastic Fred experience is part of the Good Mental Health Matters campaign, launched by the NHS to help raise awareness of mental health among young people in Kent, and equip children at a very early age to improve their lifelong emotional resilience.

The situation in Ukraine is absolutely devastating but once again, we have been overwhelmed by people’s generosity. Friends, families and neighbours of our school have demonstrated their kind and generous hearts by donating goods, offering transportation to Folkestone and even knitting children’s hats and gloves.

The School Council have voted to raise money for Comic Relief this year. They would like to a hold a wear red/ wear a red item day. If your child would like to wear red to school on Friday 18^th March to help raise money for Comic Relief please could they bring in a suggested donation of £1 on the day.

Ukraine Appeal

Our school is part of the Kent Association of Head Teachers (KAH) and together with many other schools across the county we are working to collect supplies and resources that we can send to Ukrainian refugees that have crossed the border into Poland.
