Welcome message from the Chair of Governors

Dear Parents, Carers, and Staff,

My name is Charles Copping, and I am honoured to have been re-elected as Chair of the school’s Governing Body on 25th September 2025. I am delighted to continue working with such a dedicated team of governors, staff, parents, and of course, our wonderful students.

I am also pleased to announce that Beth James has been elected as Vice Chair. A special mention and sincere thanks go to Stephen Cole, who has stepped down after serving as Vice Chair for an impressive four-year term. His commitment and leadership have been invaluable to the Governing Body, and we are extremely grateful for his contribution.

As ever, our shared goal remains clear — to provide an exceptional learning environment where every child is supported to achieve their full potential. The partnership between parents, carers, staff, and governors is central to this mission, and I thank you all for your continued support, engagement, and encouragement.

We are fortunate to have such a dedicated and passionate team of staff, led by Mrs Karen Jackson, our Headteacher and Mr Joseph Wheatley, our Deputy Headteacher. Governors will continue to work closely with the leadership team as we further refine our vision, ethos, and strategic direction for the coming years. These are exciting times for Borough Green Primary School, and we are looking forward to seeing the positive impact of these developments.

The Governing Body will also be continuing its regular programme of monitoring visits, school engagement activities, and strategic reviews throughout the year — all focused on ensuring the best possible outcomes for our pupils.
