The Great Gallery
Painting by Lime and Apple Class based on art work by Piper Smith
The children in Early Years have been involved in 'The Great Gallery' Learning Experience alongside the rest of the school.
We started our experience using a story called 'The Dot' by Peter H Reynolds to inspire the children to have a go at some art. The children experimented by making dot pictures of their own. We moved on to looking at Aboriginal Artwork, using a computer programme to help replicate this style of painting.
This week the children have all added a section to a painting by Piper Smith, that is made entirely of dots. This was auctioned on Friday.
This week the children will each produce a final piece to be shown in the Great Gallery after school on Friday 21st October.
We hope you will enjoy looking at the artwork produced during this experience.
