Apple Class children had great fun dressed as pirates, mermaids, sharks, turtles and other sea creatures, including a megalodon! As our first sea-themed story was The Rainbow Fish, the children painted scales on their fish kites and were delighted to fly them on the field. To round off the day, we did a pirate treasure hunt, which began with a message in a bottle, included jewels to find with clues the children could read to each other, and ending in finding a box of treasure.
