Year 5 / 6, have been looking at Inuit art
Lesson 1 - They are known for the carvings of the Arctic world in the Arctic Circle. We had the opportunity to be carvers just like the Inuit people using soap to carve Arctic animals. We realised, it is quite hard and takes lots of time and skill to get it right. However, for our first attempt, this was excellent! Well done!

Lesson 2 - We have finished our art topic ‘Inuit Art’. For our final piece, we had to design, draw and cut out our stencil. Once we had completed that it was time to print using the stencil and paint – many of us realised that cutting a stencil was tricky if we added too much detail. |
