A pause on the journey allowed us to play at Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Portsmouth.  After arriving on the Isle of Wight, we visited Carisbrooke Castle where we explored the museum, walked around the ramparts and saw a donkey demonstration minus a donkey! Usually a donkey demonstrates how the well made use of a giant wheel; today a member of English Heritage staff had to stand in for the donkey who was too tired!
