Welcome to British Science Week 2022 – a celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths. To help you and your children to explore and enjoy a little extra science in their lives, every day this week I will be sharing a new challenge via ParentMail and Fred (our BGPS skeleton) will be displaying the daily challenge outside the Year 5/6 door at the end of each day. 

These are just for fun but I would love to see any pictures of your child taking part in the Science Week activities. These can be emailed to me at squantick@bgpschool.kent.sch.uk 

In addition, I am running a ‘What Is A Scientist?’ poster competition, open to all year groups. Children could think about all the skills that they use in their activities this week; they could consider the different jobs that scientists do; they could think about the difference that scientists make to the world around us and to our futures. There posters should be A4 and submitted to me by Wednesday 23^rd March.
