Home/School Partnership

We consider the home-school partnership to be all important. Your child’s class teacher will be pleased to discuss any problems or concerns after school. Before school is a difficult time for teachers to give you their full attention but office staff are happy to take messages/make appointments to see teachers at the end of the school day. You will be notified of parent consultations that are held to give you a chance to discuss fully your child’s progress. At the end of the school year you will receive a written report detailing your child’s achievements and progress.

You will receive newsletters during the year updating you with details of various events and activities taking place in school.

Helping in School

We would be most grateful if you could spare some of your valuable time helping with various activities in the classroom. For example: Hearing Children Read, Artwork, Science Investigations, Language and Maths Games or just general help. To comply with current Government guidelines if you wish to help in the classroom you will have to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check which is administered via the School Office.

Please let the class teacher know if you can help in any way.

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is very active in school and you will receive more details and regular newsletters keeping you informed of their events and activities.

Borough Green is a Foundation School and our governors and Headteacher work closely together to plan for strategic developments. The Governing Body has members from different backgrounds including elected parent governors who act as another channel of communication between home and school.

Many thanks and happy schooling!!
